Carousels and kids just go together, but what about carousel CARVING and kids It’s still a perfect match! Research documenting the benefits art training brings to the developing mind continues to grow.
The Carousel of Aloha participates with a variety of Hawaiʻi schools and other facilities to provide carving classes.
The Hawai’i Academy of Arts and Sciences charter school hosted a Spring Semester 2017 workshop, and is making plans
for the Fall 2017 semester. The Youth Challenge Academy hosted two workshops in 2014.
But carving is not only offered to youth. Adults, and even whole families, can participate! The Carousel of Aloha travels to various sites to offer carving workshops:
